When it comes to finding the coolest neighborhoods in Long Beach, you really can’t go wrong – the area is chock-full of great sights and attractions. From trendy areas like Belmont Shore and Bixby Knolls, to historic districts like Bluff Park and Naples, there’s something for everyone in this vibrant Southern California city. Belmont Shore

Belmont Shore is one of the most popular neighborhoods in Long Beach, and it’s not hard to see why. This lively area is full of eclectic shops, great restaurants, and nightlife. There’s always something going on in Belmont Shore, making it the perfect place to spend a day or night out on the town, or to catch the annual Long Beach Grand Prix. If you’re looking for a place to people watch and enjoy some good food and shopping, this is the spot for you! Some of the most popular local spots include The Raven Café and PCH. The vibe in Belmont Shores is definitely laid-back and casual, so come as you are.

Bixby Knolls

Another trendy area in Long Beach is Bixby Knolls. This neighborhood is home to a number of bars and restaurants, as well as the monthly First Fridays Art Walk. This is the perfect place to enjoy a night out on the town, or to spend a leisurely day exploring the local shops and galleries. If you’re looking for street art, you can find it on Atlantic Avenue, between San Antonio Drive and Wardlow Road. One of the most well-known, vibrant murals in the area was created by local artist Michael “Bam” Gardner and depicts a number of iconic Long Beach landmarks. If you’re looking for a bite to eat, be sure to check out local favorites like George’s Greek Café and Bo-Beau Kitchen + Roof Tap. Some of our favorite places in Bixby Knolls include Sublime Ale House, Lola’s Mexican Cuisine, and Georgie’s Place. A fun fact about Bixby Knolls – it was once home to the famous Howard Hughes aircraft factory.

Bluff Park

This historic district is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Long Beach, and it’s known for its beautiful homes and picturesque views. In fact, if you take a walk down to the water, you can even see the Queen Mary! This area features a number of great restaurants and cafes, as well as the popular annual Long Beach Jazz Festival, which boasts some of the best jazz musicians from around the world, including past performers like Miles Davis and Duke Ellington.

Naples

For those seeking a place to experience a romantic evening in the town, we have Naples. Another historic district with beautiful homes and a great view of the water, this is a more residential area, but it’s still home to a number of excellent restaurants, including La Strada and The Boathouse on the Bay. Known for its canals and picturesque views, Naples is the perfect place to take a leisurely stroll or go for a romantic dinner at one of the fine dining establishments nearby.

East Side 

The East Side is easily one of the coolest neighborhoods in Long Beach. It’s home to the Museum of Latin American Art, the Long Beach Museum of Art, and the Aquarium of the Pacific.
