Angell 

West of Body and Mind Muskegon Dispensary, is the quiet neighborhood of Angell. Though the area is quite sleepy, the local favorite Kayla’s Tacos packs a punch. Their flavorful tacos will surely satiate even the wildest of munchies and they’re just a short distance from our dispensary.

Nims

If you’re in Nims, stop by Fatty Lumpkins Sandwich Shack. A quick Google search yields tons of rave reviews about their delicious and inventive sandwich creations. Muskegon’s home to a plethora of tasty eateries, but there are tons of other activities to engage in, even if you’re not hungry.

If you’d rather burn calories than ingest them, take a walk along the Lakeshore Trail, which runs along the edge of Muskegon Lake and behold the calming sights and sounds of Michigan.

Marquette

If a leisurely stroll is more your style, wandering the sleepy streets of Marquette will make for a nice day outdoors. Or, grab a fishing rod and enjoy the serene waters of Ryerson Creek. 

Jackson Hills 

The center of downtown Muskegon is Jackson Hills. Taking a walk through the market or historic downtown Muskegon is a great way to engage with locals. If it’s a nice day to be outdoors, head to Green Acres Park – this park provides a variety of green spaces and benches to relax, or another great opportunity to access the fishing at Ryerson Creek.

Jackson Hills provides history and natural surroundings – whether you’d like to take a walk in the park or explore downtown – this is the central hub of the Muskegon community.

Nelson 

The history buffs can head to Nelson where they can visit a Victorian fire museum at the Hackley & Hume Historic site. This is a seasonal attraction, so check their hours before visiting.

If Hackley & Hume is closed, make your way to the USS LST 393 – a floating military museum located just blocks away. This permanently moored navy ship takes visitors through what it was like on a typical day aboard the ship, giving a glimpse into its storied past. 

McLaughlin

After a long day exploring Muskegon County, wind things down at the McLaughlin Community Park. This residential neighborhood is home to a vibrant community that captures the essence of this Michigan county. Take a break on a bench at McLaughlin Park and appreciate all that you’ve experienced so far in Muskegon.
