La Jolla Shores is also known for its beautiful sunsets, so be sure to stick around for a sunset walk along the beach.

Point Loma’s Cabrillo National Monument

San Diego is home to a lot of California history. Don’t miss historic landmarks such as the Cabrillo National Monument, which is located at the southern tip of the Point Loma peninsula. This spot offers incredible views of San Diego and its harbor. The monument is also home to a museum where you can learn about the history of California and the first European explorer to set foot on its shores, Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo.
